Psalm 119:105
Lately I have been overwhelmed with school, obligations, and responsibilities. I am clueless as to what I am going to do and wished God had given me a GPS telling me specifically to turn “left” or “right”. It was not until this semester that I realize “Your word is a lamp to my feet. And a light to my path”
I realized that God has given me His Word to be my guide and I should filter everything with the Holy Scriptures. Another thing I was able to reflect on is the fact that the Lord will not show us where we will be in a couple of years for two reasons. (1) We will be afraid and will not want to fight the good fight (2) we will think we know everything and we will not depend on God. If you see a lamp, it illuminates a couple of feet, and if you do not want to get lost, you need to be close to the Source of Light being our Lord Jesus Christ.
Are you going through a season where you feel like every time you try to move forward, you hit a roadblock? Something happens that throws you off course. Be encouraged today because when you submit your life to the Lord, He promises to go before you. He is preparing a way for you. He is making your crooked places straight and your rough places smooth. You may be going through a difficult time right now, but it’s not the end. It’s only the beginning, and God has equipped you for this journey.
